Being active in our community is a top priority for us here at Kiser Construction. When we’re not busy restoring or remodeling properties, we are always happy to give back and support the community that supports us!

Upcoming Community Events

2024 Downtown Elk River Trick or Treat
- We’ll be participating in this year’s Downtown Trick or Treat, put on by the Downtown Elk River Business Association! Come say hi to Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc. at our booth on October 25th from 2:00-6:00 PM in downtown Elk River! More details available here.
2024 Anoka Grande Day Parade
- On Saturday, October 26th, we’ll be participating in our third Anoka Grande Day Halloween Parade! The cast of Monsters Inc. will be joining us, so be sure to come say hi. The parade begins at 1:00 PM on the corner of State Street and West Main Street. The route follows Main Street to 5th Avenue and finishes at South Street/Military Road. More details available here.
2nd Annual Elk River Guns N’ Hoses Hockey Game
- Join us on March 30th at 4:00 PM at the Furniture and Things Community Event Center for our second annual Guns N’ Hoses hockey game between the Elk River Fire Department and Elk River Police Department!
1st Annual Vets & Pets 5K
- Save the date! We have partnered up with Magnus Veterans Foundation and Soldier’s 6 Service K9 Provider to put on a 5K fundraiser on Saturday, May 17th. More details coming soon!

Mike, Sulley, and Boo joined the Kiser crew for our first Andover Family Fun Fest parade! We had so much fun putting this float together and loved seeing all the reactions to it!

Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce Nautical Nines Golf Tournament

We had so much fun at the 2024 Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament! Golfers who stopped by our tent were challenged to to walk the plank and play our version of Gator Golf!

Kate is a Parker Elementary 5th grader who did an awesome job creating an ad for us in the Elk River Star News! We stopped by her classroom to thank her.

Elk River Guns ‘N Hoses Charity Hockey Game

Kiser Construction was thrilled to sponsor the Elk River Guns ‘N Hoses Charity Hockey Game on March 10th! It was an awesome community event to raise money for the families of three first responders who were killed in the line of duty in Burnsville on February 18th.

The stands were packed as the Elk River Fire Department and Elk River Police Department went head-to-head in a game of boot hockey. The police came out on top with a 5-3 victory! We, along with the fire and police departments, look forward to making this an annual event!

Elk River Home Show

Kiser Construction had a great time chatting with our community members at the Elk River Home Show on February 10th! Folks who stopped by our booth could enter to win our Kiser tailgating package, which ended up going to Ryan R. from Elk River!

Kiser Kids Christmas Toy Drive

With the help of our generous community, we’ve been able to donate thousands of toys to Children’s Minnesota through our annual toy drive since 2021.

Kiser Community Thanksgiving

Between 2022 and 2023, we served about 650 meals to community members in need on Thanksgiving Day at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River. Check out the podcast we did with Sherburne County United Way discussing this awesome annual event.

Continuing Education

Kiser sponsored two in-person continuing education courses in September of 2023 for our friends who work in insurance. We look forward to sponsoring more classes in the future!

Daycare Center Visit

Our team built a lemonade stand for a local daycare center and paid them a visit so the kids could help us finish it off! We also did some power tool demonstrations for the kids and taught them a bit about construction!

A Thank You from the Elk River Parks & Recreation Youth Leagues

Getting mail like this puts a smile on our faces. We love supporting the kids of our community!

2023 Sherburne County Fair Parade

We were honored to be one of the grand marshals for the 2023 Sherburne County Fair Parade, commemorating our 20th anniversary. The parade theme was “Double Down”, but we put our own spin on it! Since we were celebrating our 20th anniversary, our theme was “Double Decades!” We drove two matching trucks through the parade and had two Dubble Bubble boys helping us hand out Dubble Bubble gum.

Minnesota Twins Game

In July of 2023, we hosted some of our favorite people in a gorgeous suite at Target Field to enjoy a Minnesota Twins game. It was a great night of games, prizes, food, and fireworks, and we topped it all off with a Twins win! We look forward to making this an annual event!

Twin Cities Adjusters Association Golf Tournament

We had a great time at the Twin Cities Adjusters Association golf tournament in July of 2023. Golfers who stopped by our booth to test their quarterback skills had the chance to win a tailgating package!

Christmas Tees & Trees Golf Tournament

The 2023 Elk River Chamber of Commerce golf tournament theme was Christmas Tees and Trees! We had so much fun sponsoring the photo booth for the tournament.

2023 Kids in the News

Elk River students, Nick and Elijah, designed Kiser Construction ads for the Kids in the News contest and were selected to be featured in the Star News! We stopped by their classrooms to thank them.

United We Shiver

2023 was our first year participating in United We Shiver, organized by Sherburne County United Way. The Kiser crew jumped into frigid Big Lake to raise money for Open Doors for Youth. We returned in 2024, this time raising money for the Magnus Veterans Foundation.

When we’re not busy restoring or remodeling properties, you can likely find the Kiser crew giving back to our community. From hosting a free community Thanksgiving to collecting toys for Children’s Minnesota to taking the Polar Plunge at United We Shiver, we know the importance of giving back and have a great time doing it.
