A wet floor that feels dry to the hand is usually not dry. Water sits in the subfloor, inside wall cavities, and under the pad long after the surface stops feeling damp. That is where mold starts.

What drying actually means
Drying is not a feeling. It is a number.
We take moisture readings at the start and we log them every day the equipment runs. Framing, subfloor, drywall, and any material we are trying to save each get read separately. Equipment comes out when the readings match the dry standard for your building, not when the schedule says so.
You get those logs. If a material cannot be brought back to standard, we tell you, and it comes out instead of getting closed up wet.
Two situations get their own handling. A split line in January is burst pipe cleanup, and water coming in at the eave during a thaw is ice dam removal rather than a plumbing failure.

Water Damage Repair After Drying
Drying is half the job. Once the moisture logs hit the dry standard, our team comes back to repair what was removed. That means new drywall, insulation, trim, flooring, and cabinets where they were pulled out.
You do not need a second contractor for the rebuild. We match the new work to the rest of the room, using the 360 degree photos taken before demolition. Water damage repair is handled by Kiser from start to finish, so nothing gets lost between two contractors.
360 degree documentation
We photograph every damaged area with a DocuSketch camera. It captures the room in 360 degrees and generates measurements and a floor plan from those images.
Two things come out of that. Your adjuster gets a scope built on measured dimensions instead of estimates, which usually moves the claim faster. And you get a record of what the space looked like before demolition, which matters when the rebuild starts months later.
Mold stays with us
A lot of water jobs get split. One company dries the house, then hands mold to somebody else. We do not do that. The same team that dries your home handles remediation, so nothing gets lost between two contractors and two schedules.

Common questions
Can I dry it out myself?
You can start. Our guide on what to do after water damage covers the first steps. What a rental fan will not do is pull moisture out of framing and subfloor. If water has been sitting more than a day, or if it reached drywall, call someone with meters.
Does carpet always have to go?
No. It depends on how long it was wet and what the water was. Carpet soaked longer than 48 hours usually comes out. Under that, a moisture meter answers the question. The pad underneath is replaced far more often than the carpet itself.
What about hardwood?
Wood holds moisture and cups as it dries. Some floors come back with time and controlled drying. Older floors that cannot be matched are the hard case, because replacing a few boards can mean replacing the room. Floors in older Minneapolis homes often sit next to plaster walls, which dry differently too.
Will I have to move out?
Often no. If the damage is contained and the building is safe, most people stay. Widespread losses are different. Expect noise and equipment running around the clock either way.
Do you charge for the inspection?
No. Water damage inspections are free and you get a written scope whether or not you hire us.
Insurance
We document. Photos, daily moisture logs, 360 captures, and a measured scope go to your adjuster.
We do not tell you what your policy covers and we do not negotiate your claim. Minnesota law reserves that work for licensed public adjusters, and we stay on our side of it.
